My mom and I took Cece to the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford yesterday. I figured it's never too soon to start her on the path to becoming a mad scientist like her mom and (especially) her dad. Just kidding. Kind of. The place was cool. Good thing we got a year pass, there was way too much to see and do for just one afternoon. We'll be back!
PS - this is my first attempt at blogging on my phone. Sorry for the low grade pictures and poor quality but its better than no blogging at all. No time for for perfection these days!

Cecelia at Two Months
Cecelia is two months old today.
At her two month appointment she weighed in at 11 pounds, 8 ounces and is just over 22 inches long.
Highlights from the last four weeks:
At her two month appointment she weighed in at 11 pounds, 8 ounces and is just over 22 inches long.
Highlights from the last four weeks:
- The smiles are better than ever! There's not much in the universe that can compare to your baby looking you in the eyes and flashing a big, gummy smile.
- The best part of my day is morning snuggles with Cece and Summit. The best part of James' day is coming home from work and seeing Cece's reaction to him. It seems that after spending the day with mom she only has eyes for her daddy.
- Cece's filling out, oh those baby rolls! She definitely inherited mommy's thunder thighs!
- She has no trouble holding her head up by herself and loves to stand with just a little help.
- She is a looker. As in she loves to look around. She's already burned a bald spot in the back of her head from turning it side to side as she scans the room.
- If she's fussy there are a few things that are guaranteed to calm her down: going up and down the stairs over and over, bouncing on the exercise ball, or hanging out on her changing table. The first two I understand, she likes movement. I don't understand why she loves the changing table so much. She just lies there and stares at the polar bears on the wall above her. Don't get it but I'll take it.
- Her hair has a bit of red in it. I have no idea what side of the family she got that from!
- Cece likes to cry or fuss when I read her books but she loves listening to and dancing to music.
- Bath time is one of her favorite things. Can't wait to teach her how to swim. She also likes taking showers with us.
- Her new favorite thing to play with, or in - is the jumperoo I found at a consignment store a few weeks ago.
- She still doesn't really like to nap much during the day but she's sleeping great at night, usually only getting me up once for a snack.
- She likes to imitate us - whether it's sticking out her tongue after we do, opening her mouth when she's watching us eat or cooing with us during our "conversations".

Storm NEMO/Charlotte
I'm not sure if the big nor'easter that hit New England last week was called NEMO or Charlotte. There seems to be some confusion. Either way, the storm dumped almost three feet of snow on us here in Connecticut. I've lived here my whole life and I don't think I recall a single storm with so much snow. Here are a few pictures I snapped with our point and shoot camera after the storm and during cleanup (which took 3 days!).
