Trains!

I'm not sure who's more into trains right now, Cece or James, but it's safe to say we have a couple of fans in our house. The wooden set and the model trains were James' when he was a kid. It's nice to be able to pass them on. James spent weeks building the train table. Like I said, I'm not sure who's having more fun with these! The video at the end is the best part.

Throwback Thursday

I've shared a few random pictures of one of the houses James and I rented for a few years before we were married but never really talked about it in detail. It's definitely a place that is worthy of it's own post. We called it The Treehouse. As you can see, it was the funkiest little home you could imagine. Perhaps The Mushroom would have been a better name for it. It had a spiral staircase that led up to a second (main) level with floor to ceiling windows and an open floorplan in the shape of a massive octagon. You can imagine how tricky it was placing furniture in a house with no right angles. It had a deep, round jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom and a deck off the back in the shape of an octagon. Even the garden was laid out in the shape of an octagon. The house was literally surrounded by trees and forested wetlands. Every night we would fall asleep to the deafening sound of crickets and the occasional pack of coyotes. This place was cool. So, so cool.
