Nine months ago Cece changed our world. She has spunk, this kid.
I don't really know what to say about her except that she's pretty awesome and we love her so, so much. Life is pretty fun with her these days because she's on a predictable schedule and she is easy to please. No new major milestones this month but she continues to hone her verbal and motor skills. She's all over the place and into everything. Almost standing entirely on her own. It won't be much longer before she's walking. She talks all the time. Waves hello and goodbye. Loves her blocks, legos and sound puzzles. Eats everything we give her. Loves spaghetti, avocados and crackers the best. LOVES to feed Summit. Understands English. Sleeps (11-12 hours!) through the night. Loves bath time. Loves swings. Weighs 18.5 pounds. Is no wallflower. Still has no teeth. Loves to play with other kids and is already holding her own on the playground.
Love this kid. What else is there to say?

Family Camping
James and I used to do this kind of camping. Safe to say those days may be behind us, at least for awhile. Instead, we took Cece on her first Chadwick family camping trip. We packed up the tents and the pop-up and headed to the Rhode Island shore. We spent the day at the beach and followed it up with a good old New England clam bake and s'mores around the fire. It all went smoothly until it was time to go to bed. Cece has been sleeping 12 glorious hours through the night at home, but apparently that doesn't translate to sleeping through the night in a tent with mom and dad. So, that was a bit of a challenge but we made it through the night and were still full of smiles the next morning. Maybe next time we'll bring Summit and she and Cece can share their own tent.
I think it's safe to say corn on the cob is Cece's new favorite food. She could have chewed on that cob for hours if we let her. Cousin Zach too.

Four Years!
Today is our fourth wedding anniversary. We were married on September 6th, 2009 at a small farm in rural Connecticut. Ahhhh. Loved that day.
Of course a marriage is about much more than just a day. James and I have been together since October 2004 and in all those years we have shared many happy memories.
There are so many memories from the nine years we have shared together it's unbelievable. It hasn't all been roses and rainbows but it sure has been worth it. And let's face it, the rainbows are the things we remember the most in the end anyway. I love you, James. Happy Anniversary!
