James and I have hiked Mount Washington in New Hampshire several times together, mostly in winter. It's a special place for us because it's where we got engaged.
We wanted to take Cece to Mount Washington but it's probably a few
years too soon for her to hike it herself so instead we took to historic
Cog Railway up to
the top of the 6288 foot summit. The mountain was about an hour and a half from the cabin in Maine so it was an easy day trip (see Maine Vacation Part I).

I've been to the top of Mt. Washington via car a few times. The train option looks really fun, especially for kids!
