Happy Birthday, James!

Last Saturday, April 2 was James' 33rd birthday. Cece requested a tractor cake for him. We hired a babysitter and went out to sushi. And then, we woke up to snow. Happy Birthday, old man!

 

Easter 2016

Disclaimer: Easter is not my favorite holiday. But, alas, we celebrate spring and this year, we also celebrated a reunion with Nana and Grandpa Chadwick who just returned from their 6 week adventure in Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia. It was great to be together again. So glad they had a wonderful trip and grateful to have them back! Of course, I failed to get a single picture with the kids and them together! Just imagine a lot of smiles.

As far as Easter celebrations go, they started with a visit to our Pulaski cousins (James' cousin's family) to dye eggs again. Not sure if our eggs or our hands ended up more colorful!

The Easter Bunny was good to the kids. Care Bears, soccer balls, super hero capes, and of course, chocolate!

On Sunday, we had almost 20 people over for Easter dinner which included a lot of food and, of course, another egg hunt!

 

It was a great day. But, by the end of it, we were all wiped out! Happy Spring!

Day Out With Thomas

We have a Thomas the Train superfan in our family. Cece is in fact, really, really into all trains, any train. As you may recall, we had a Thomas themed 2nd birthday party for her. Girlfriend LOVES Thomas. Actually, she prefers Thomas' best friend, Percy over any other character in Thomas's shed. Here are some pictures from our "Day out with Thomas" at the Essex Steam Train.

The Yankees

On Sunday we headed down to the Bronx for a game at Yankee Stadium. It was a beautiful day made even better because it was shared with some of our closest friends. We had great seats, the kids enjoyed the game (didn't fidget too much!) and the traffic getting in and out of the stadium was the easiset it's ever been. The only thing that would have made it a better day is if the Yankees didn't blow their lead in the top of the 9th. Oy!

Good Friends

Good friends are like the best thing ever, aren't they? Last weekend we attended the baptism of Luke and Tessa. Luke is the son of one of my best girlfriends, Caitlin. Tessa is her niece. Caitlin, Suzanne (also pictured) and I have been besties since the 2nd grade. You might remember Suzanne practically birthed my child. Love these girls and their amazing, adorable families! So happy Cece has good friends to call her own! Oh yeah, and Cece found her pockets that day too and it was just about the best thing ever!
